Surveying Works and Hydrological Studies for Multiple Sites Across the Kingdom
Hexa Line Projects was awarded a major contract by the National Housing Company to undertake surveying works and hydrological studies at multiple residential development sites distributed across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This nationwide engagement supported the planning and approval of new housing projects as part of Saudi Vision 2030’s housing development agenda.

- Perform hydrological assessments to characterize drainage patterns, flood risk, and stormwater management requirements for each site.
- Develop site-specific hydrological reports to support development permit applications.
- Provide integrated survey and hydrological data in standardized formats compatible with National Housing Company systems.
Methodology
Field surveying was carried out using high-precision Total Stations and GPS equipment, producing topographic maps at 1:1000 and 1:2000 scales. Hydrological analyses included watershed delineation, runoff coefficient determination, and peak flood calculations using regional hydrological methods. All works were coordinated through a centralized project management framework to ensure consistency across multiple simultaneous site studies.
Deliverables
- Topographic survey maps for all designated sites.
- Hydrological study reports per site, covering drainage analysis and flood risk.
- Stormwater management recommendations for each development site.
- Consolidated GIS database of survey and hydrological data for the National Housing Company.
Significance & Impact
This large-scale, multi-site engagement demonstrated Hexa Line Projects’ capacity for nationwide hydrological and surveying programs. The work directly supported Saudi Arabia’s ambitious housing development targets under Vision 2030, ensuring that new residential areas were planned on a sound technical and hydrological basis from the outset.
